Smith & Clarkson's Deli
Howdy! Was just thinking of you (was painting) and I remembered I wanted to tell you about what happened this past weekend. Ed and I went out to breakfast at a place we'd never been to before. We ordered our food and I sat down with the newspaper. Ed was wandering about--and came back and said--this place has some neat paintings on the wall--and low and behold--it was you! We went to the Deli on Port Royal Road next to Safeway. Good food....great paintings!

I don't know if I told you, we have your flower painting/s hanging in our living room over the couch. It is the first thing people see as they come into our home. I have gotten so many compliments about it and how unusual the framing is that I can't tell you about them all-- but I have told everyone who has asked where I got them. I am glad to have a website to point them to.
I am still amazed at how beautiful the 2 paintings of the kids are. I was just looking at them together on my computer. They are similar but completely different just like my children. I already know where I will hang them. I can't wait!

Anabela,
Just wanted to tell you that the water color I bought on Saturday works perfectly in the spot (in bathroom) that I bought it for. At first my wife was skeptical, but after I hung it, she saw how well it went in the room. The colors are perfect for the room, and since it is not really a small bathroom and it has a good strong fan in it, and the picture is hanging on the far wall away from the shower, and the shower is not constantly in use, the picture should hold up well. I knew it would go well in the room. That is why I bought it. The scene reminds me of one along the Potomac River on the Maryland side of the river looking towards Virginia across from Mt. Vernon, where there are scenes where you can peer through stands of trees just after their leaves have fallen in the fall and see across the river to the Virginia hillside. Your water color reminds me of those scenes.
The picture was large enough so that several marks on the wall from previous picture hangers are now hidden by this picture. This allowed me to hang the picture without having to repaint the wall, an unexpected bonus.
I have a question. Have you ever done any pictures of tennis courts? I have always wanted a painting of the tennis courts along the banks of the Mediterranean in Monte Carlo. I may be in the market for one. I am refinishing a room and may be looking for just such a picture.
